Mike Arrives at Syston

With ash clouds disrupting many club's overseas plans, Syston were just thankful to see Kiwi Mike Peacock in the flesh for the first time! Obviously jet lagged from the journey Mike met many of the season players and committee on Thursday evening and promptly necked a pint of Fosters!

Mike joins us from Canterbury where he plays for the East Christchurch Shirley. As a leg spinner Mike joins a formidable spin attack at Syston and can look forward to teaming up with Saqlain throughout the season. Several members of the playing and coaching staff are delighted to hear that Mike is also a Newcastle utd fan!

Everyone at Syston welcomes Mike to the club and look forward to his first match a mere 48 hours after touching English soil away at Loughborough Town.
